Hon. Tommy G. Thompson

Thompson is the former Health & Human Services (HHS) secretary
and four-term governor of Wisconsin. During 14 years as governor,
he expanded access to health care for low-income people and created
Family Care, designed to allow elderly and disabled citizens
to receive care in their homes as long as possible. At HHS, he
extended health insurance to children, reinvigorated the nation’s
public health infrastructure, and spearheaded legislation providing
a drug benefit to seniors for the first time. He is now independent
senior advisor of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions and
a partner at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. |
